Dieting Diatribe

I realize these pictures are not from the same angle...but it's the best I have for now.

So, I've lost 53lbs since June. Believe me, I am very thrilled with that. However, 42 of those pounds were lost by Oct 31. That means it's taken me almost 5 months to lose 11 pounds! At first it was the holidays, then it was my new school schedule, and now I'm just out of excuses. I need to get back into that militant-like mindset where I only eat the foods that I know are good for me. I know exercise is a must but I haven't had a real workout in over a month. That is changing this week! I'm getting back on this wagon.

I want to lose 5 more lbs before I graduate in May-and 20 more before I even begin to try on wedding dresses! Here's to a good week.

And Happy Easter! The holiday treats did not add to my plan...

Along with my newfound focus on eating right, comes my "re-focus" on school plan! It's gonna be a rough week up here on the wagon...

  1. Hey there! You're moving in the right direction! I don't want to hear about only loosing 11 lbs. You've lost weight and kept it off in a healthy way! Aren't there medals for these type of things?! =o) Well, you certainly deserve one! I'm so happy for you! I'm also fighting to get the weight off. So happy for you! Keep us posted on your progress!

  3. Thanks guys! I'm trying not to focus on the time it takes or the actual number, I just want to look and feel healthy, especially on the big day. Luckily I have plenty of time-Oct 2009! I know I can do it!

  4. I think you look awesome as is, my dear! But I understand the want to look your best for your most memorable day ever! Just take it easy on yourself - between the bar and the wedding plans, it'll be stressful enough as it is!

With that said, I think the whole cake tasting concept is pretty contradictory to bride dieting - egh!

  5. Congrats on the progress you have made! I have slowly knocked off 35 lbs and it has taken me 2 years to do so, but I feel so much better and I am excited about the progress I hope to make this summer.

Have you tried tracking your calories using a program like Fitday? That is what I use and I love it! After a month of tracking I started losing weight like crazy! I am not very good at exercising regularly, so tracking my calories is definitely the way to go.

Oh, and I added you to my blogroll yesterday :)
